A Brand New Summer ~ Guest Post by Emmie

Hey guys! I just did a fun photo story on Diamond’s blog for her summer camp series Camp Happy Heart! Make sure you go check it out and also participate in camp! See you guys the next time I post, which is hopefully soon! 🙂

Build A Bears Furever

Hello friends! Today we have our first guest post of camp! Emmie sent in a lovely photostory. I hope you all enjoy!

Paris’s POV

Dear Cali,

I hope you and all of the stuffies are having a fun time at Camp Happy Heart! I’m in my CIT (counselor-in-training) bunk at Camp Pineapple, and wow, has it been a crazy week. Let me tell you all about it…

image0

When I get off the bus, I take a deep breath in and look around. Everything is exactly how I remember it last year. I feel the energy of the place and excitement bubbling within me, and I repeat excitedly in my head, I’m here! I’m back at camp!

image1

In the crowd of campers, CITS, counselors, staff, and parents, I spot Tenney waving at me! I squeal and we run to each other in a big hug. “TENNEY! I missed you!”

“Me too!”…

The Cheer Competition – An AGSM!

Hey guys! Remember this post? In it, I made a photo story about a Lea and her cheer competition, and it was super fun. However, the stunts weren’t the best, and I had a cool idea to make a stop motion out of it!

I made this one in like three days, which is record time for me! I had a lot of fun making this video, and I hope you’ll will watch it until the end!

Watch as the AGA Stars competitive cheerleading team crush the competition in their stunning performance!

Written & choreographed by: Emmie

Directed & produced by: Emmie

Filmed & Edited by: Emmie

Music by: The Jonas Brothers

Costumes by: American Girl and Our Generation

Sound Effects by: iMovie

Lately I’ve been super excited about cheer, since I’m trying out for my school’s team in a few weeks! Hopefully we’ll all make it, since there’s only 4 sixth graders trying out. This stop motion was really fun to make and I hope you enjoyed!

Did you like the video? Do you cheer? Are you a fan of cheer?

Paris and the Pig: An AGSM!

Hey guys! I’m back with a brand-new stop motion and I’m so excited to share it with you! I had absolutely the best time creating this video for you guys. The script was one of my favorites to write, and the story is (hopefully) hilarious! I worked really hard on this, so I hope you enjoy it!

Paris, Z, and Charlie must save a petting zoo piglet from a crazy farmer lady before he turns into bacon – but there’s some twists, turns, and mishaps along the way – and they might have to ask a few friends for help!

*No pigs were harmed in the making of this stop motion.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this!! This stop motion was sooooo much fun to make, and I hope you maybe got a laugh from this.

What was your favorite part? Your favorite character? Is Wilbur adorable? Should I do more AGSMs like this? Do you think Crazy Farm Lady must have a dark and checkered past?

JO @ PANANAW!!!

*Confetti flies* Congratulations Jo! You won the Blog of the Year Award!! I’m so happy and excited for you! *hands trophy over*

And now, for Jo’s speech! Unfortunately, we don’t have a speech from her this year, but here’s her inspiring speech from last year’s awards when she won Best New Blog.

”Wait, what?

I won?

I actually won an award?

Oh my word, I can’t believe it.

Thank you people for deciding I had the best new blog of 2018. I’m so shook right now. I can’t believe that a whole bunch of you thought I was good enough to be nominated for an award. Thank you so much to my parents, for letting me have a blog, to my brother and sister for inspiring me to start one,  to Gracie M, Clara, Rebekah, and Enni for encouraging me to keep going, to my bell pepper plant for being the source of my inspiration, to my laptop for not shutting down on me, to every single one of you who voted, to my fellow nominees, you deserve this more than I, and finally and most importantly to God for giving me the gift of blogging.

We have the amazing freedom of speech, of expression, and of marshmallows. Let’s use that freedom to build each other up and make someone smile this year!” – Jo

*wipes tears from eyes* Thank you so much for that speech last year, Jo! You totally deserved this award!

And that’s a wrap for the Emmie Awards 2019! I hope you all have a wonderful year in 2020. Here’s to new beginnings, new memories, new experiences. Here’s to 2020!

And remember, even if you didn’t win or get nominated for an award, I want to remind you that you are an incredible, amazing blogger, and that the Emmie Awards are meant as a fun way to discover new blogs. Congratulations to everyone!

The Accidental Nutcracker | A Christmas AGSM: The PREMIERE!

Starring Isabel Palmer as herself/Clara, this Christmas stopmotion follows the story of Isabel, who receives a Nutcracker soldier from her weird old grandfather. Isabel could care less about the Nutcracker soldier… but could the Nutcracker be more than she thought? Suddenly, Isabel “accidentally” finds herself as Clara…in the Nutcracker. And it’s up to her to defeat the Rat King and save her prince – before it’s too late.

Z: Hello world! I’m Ziana Yang from Z Crew News, reporting to you LIVE from the premiere of Emmie’s 2019 Christmas AGSM stop-motion, The Accidental Nutcracker.

Z: I’m here on the red carpet with the stars of the movie. Let’s take a look and ask some questions!

Alexandra Blakely, who plays herself and the Snow Queen along with numerous other roles such as Polchinelle and Flower, poses for the camera. She’s wearing a stunning sequined gown, paired with a daring leather jacket and country-chic boots.

Z: How did you feel about having such big roles in the movie?

A: I definitely was a little daunted at first, but it ended up being so much fun! It was cool to play myself at the party scene, and it was so completely magical playing the Snow Queen. I really enjoyed my supporting roles, too: especially Polchinelle, because I got to have a lot of fun with it! I’m really grateful for the experience, and I’m glad Emmie casted me as both supporting AND lead!

The paparazzi goes crazy for Logan Everett, who plays the Nutcracker prince in the movie and is a country/pop star, as he runs a hand through his hair and smiles for the camera. He’s dressed in a cool, yet casual, designer plaid shirt with ripped jeans.

Z: How did you feel being one of the only male cast members and playing such a huge role?

L: At first it seemed hard because I had a lot of lines to memorize, but I’ve done tons of TV shows and movies before, along with guest appearances in Emmie’s film. I ended up really enjoying it and I got to try some ballet! The battle scene was 100% the hardest acting thing I’ve ever done. I couldn’t move in that stiff, wood-like costume and it’s impossible to see with the Nutcracker head on!

Jade Palmer strikes a pose in her simple, yet stunning, evening gown designed by her sister. She’s a student at the American Girl Academy Ballet School, and when she graduates plans to join the American Ballet Theatre and become a professional ballerina. Jade plays the Sugar Plum fairy, one of the principal roles in the entire ballet, but this time for the screen.

Z: You’ve played the Sugar Plum fairy before in the ballet. How was it different in a stop motion?

J: The dance was actually a lot easier than the one I’ve performed, but Charlie (who plays the Sugar Plum Prince) had never done ballet before, and we had to do a lot of lifts and tricks and difficult moves! Charlie did a really great job, though. He’s a natural!

As Isabel Palmer, the star of the movie, enters the room, the paparazzi snap photos of her and fans scream and cheer from behind the velvet ropes of the red carpet. She plays the lead role, herself/Clara.

The star is wearing her own design, a delicate white gown with a flowing shimmery skirt, sheer bodice. The look is paired with a stylish white denim jacket and a sideswept hairstyle.

Z: Last year, you played an extra. This year, you’re the starring role of the movie.

I: (Laughs) Yeah, I was shocked when I discovered I was going to play Clara this year. It made sense, because I’ve been dancing since I was two and I played Clara twice in my ballet school’s productions! I really enjoyed playing this version of Clara, though. I was really playing a (slightly sassier!) version of myself who’s lost in the world of the Nutcracker, and that was a really cool role to play. I also got to design some costumes!

Z: How did it feel acting with your sister?

I: I loved hanging out with her! She’s so busy and we never get to see each other, but we had a lot of fun together on set.

J: Definitely! I loved hanging out with my little sis. It was a really fun experience for both of us.

The lead cast – Alexandra, Logan, Isabel, Jade

Finally, the cast posed for some pictures on the red carpet!

Alexandra, Isabel, Jade

All the girls were hugging and laughing on the red carpet. All of their hard work had finally paid off.

Z: It looks like it’s time to head into the theatre for the premiere!

Inside the theatre, the lights dimmed. Suddenly, the director, Emmie, stepped onstage.

“Before the premiere, I want to say a few things. Thank you so much to everyone who supported and shared this AGSM – you guys are the best! I also want to thank my family for putting up with my hogging the computer, trashing the doll room, and obsessive filming. Lastly, I want to thank my dad for helping me with endless technical things. I couldn’t have done this without you.”

The audience cheered as the curtains rose, revealing a huge screen. And the movie began to play.

AHHHH IT’S OUT IT’S OUT IT’S OUT!! I’m freaking out right now. Thank you so much for all of your support! I love you all! Please let me know what you think in the comments!!

Did you watch the movie? Did you like it? What was your favorite part? Who was your favorite character? Did you like the red-carpet premiere photo story?

Something HUGE is Coming. — Announcing my Christmas AGSM 2019! + My 3 Year Blogaversiary

Three years ago, nine-year-old me started a little blog about her three American Girl Dolls because she was inspired by a little Blogger site and pretty much copied everything from there. Little nine-year-old me had no idea – absolutely NO IDEA – that her blogs would grow into something that’s this big of a part of her life.

And even though my blog isn’t so popular anymore, or sometimes it might feel like nobody wants to read what I have to say on here, I’m still so incredibly grateful for all of you. 🤗 Thank you for your support and friendship. I love you all! *squeezes all of my internet besties in one giant virtual group hug* 🤗🤗🤗

I just want to say thank you to all of you!! Y’all are the people that keep me going. Thanks for caring enough to read my posts and click the follow button. It means a lot to me! ❤️

For the past few months, I’ve been kind of non-existent on this blog. Besides the occasional Emmie Awards reblog, I haven’t posted since October. But I have a pretty good reason for that.

A really, really great reason in that fact! Because…once again, I’ve been keeping a secret. Are you ready to find out what it is?

For the past two months, I’ve been secretly working on my 2019 Christmas AGSM to celebrate my 3rd blogaversiary!! I can’t even tell you how hard I worked on this project. It involved hours upon hours upon hours of set designing, troubleshooting, costuming, choreographing, screenwriting, filming, editing…and I broke our computer because it took over 8,000 pictures to create it!

On December 24, my Christmas AGSM will premiere at 11:30 AM CT!

But wait – I haven’t even told you the best part. What is this stopmotion even about? What makes it so special? Introducing…

The Accidental Nutcracker | A Christmas AGSM!

One last thing – I need help promoting The Accidental Nutcracker so as many people can see this as possible! I’m so excited, but also really, really scared to release this movie that I’ve been working on for so, so long. And this is where you guys come in!

It would literally mean the world to me if you could promote the stop motion on your blog, website, social media, anywhere! All you have to do is link to this post and/or the trailer at the end of your blog post, or you can reblog this!

As a thank-you, if you share this on your blog, not only will you get three free wallpapers, you’ll alsoget a special link and you’ll get a sneak peek of the stop motion before the premiere! Thank you so much for your help!
